What Is Broad Spectrum CBD Oil?

The initial CBD oil that is extracted from the cannabis hemp plant is called full spectrum CBD oil. Full spectrum CBD contains all of the cannabinoids (including CBD and trace amounts of THC), terpenes, flavonoids, and healthy fatty acids of cannabis hemp. When the detectable amounts of THC are filtered out, the resulting CBD oil is referred to as broad spectrum CBD. Broad spectrum CBD contains nearly all of the chemical compounds of the hemp plant, but without any detectable levels of THC.

To fully understand the benefits of broad spectrum CBD, it is important to understand how CBD works in your body. CBD (cannabidiol) and other cannabinoids work in concert with the body’s endocannabinoid system, a cell-signaling system found in all vertebrate animals that helps the body to maintain homeostasis, or balance, in a variety of systems and organs, most notably the central and peripheral nervous systems. This interaction between CBD and the various receptors of the ECS helps the body to regulate such crucial functions as sleep, memory, mood, motor control, stress management, appetite, pain management, and many more. Broad Spectrum vs Full Spectrum CBD

Both full spectrum CBD and broad spectrum CBD are robust and effective oils, and are potent additions to any CBD product. The benefit of full spectrum CBD is that it contains some trace amounts of THC, which has its own wellness benefits. This can give you a more powerful Entourage Effect and, thus, a more powerful CBD experience. The downside is that, even though the trace amounts of THC in full spectrum oil are so minute that they’re likely to be non-intoxicating, these can still potentially produce a false-positive result on a drug test, particularly if you use full spectrum CBD on a regular basis.

Broad spectrum also retains plenty of cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids after the detectable amounts of THC have been filtered out, delivering a potent Entourage Effect experience. Though there’s always a chance of a positive drug test result, particularly with regular usage, your chances are less likely with broad spectrum CBD.

This allows the CBD to absorb into the capillaries of the mouth. After you’ve swallowed the oil, don’t drink or eat anything for another 10 minutes. This way, any remaining oil in your mouth can continue to be absorbed.
